Job Purpose

A. Training Needs Assessment (TNA)

• Conduct training needs analysis for farm operations, animal care, feeding, breeding, milking, hygiene, and safety processes.
• Coordinate with Farm Manager, Breeding Manager, and Production Head to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
• Prepare annual and monthly training plans for all farm and production departments.

B. Training Program Development

• Develop practical, on-the-job training modules for:
• Calf management
• Cow handling techniques
• Feeding & nutrition
• Milk hygiene & milking procedures
• Breeding processes
• Animal health & disease prevention
• Farm equipment usage
• Personal hygiene & biosecurity
• Environmental safety and waste management
• Prepare training materials including manuals, visuals, SOPs, checklists, and demonstrations.

C. Training Delivery

• Conduct classroom and on-field training sessions for workers and supervisors.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations at barns, milking parlor, calf unit, feed store, and waste management zones.
• Train new employees through the standard onboarding training program.
• Ensure workers follow correct procedures and biosecurity protocols at all times.

D. Training Evaluation & Follow-Up

• Assess trainee performance through tests, checklists, and observation.
• Evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs such as productivity, error reduction, and SOP compliance.
• Provide monthly training reports to HR Manager and Farm Director.
• Recommend improvement actions based on field observations and training feedback.

E. Compliance & SOP Implementation

• Ensure all training aligns with farm SOPs, animal welfare guidelines, and food safety standards.
• Conduct refresher training on safety, PPE usage, hygiene, and animal handling.
• Support audit preparations for farm certifications (ISO, HACCP, GMP, animal welfare standards).

F. Documentation & Record Management

• Maintain training attendance, evaluation forms, and certification records.
• Monitor worker competency levels through skill matrices.
• Maintain updated versions of SOPs and training manuals.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in livestock, agriculture, dairy farm operations, or training & development.
• Experience in cow farming or food production training is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Specialized training certification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of livestock management, farm operations, or milk production processes.
• Ability to prepare training materials and documentation.
• Good understanding of biosecurity, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work at farm sites and conduct physical demonstration training.
• Good training delivery skills – both classroom and hands-on.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with workers and supervisors.
