Job Description

Position Purpose

The Manager- Finance & Accounts (Projects) role oversees the Coordinating & Actively participating in delivery of the Organisation -Wide strategic Projects and Programmes.  Particularly, the role holder shall support the Project Managers across various departments in their projects and programmes in terms of planning, execution, delivery and closure, while consistently ensuring that all aspects of the Company’s project methodology and governance are followed as per the defined standards and principles.  This includes (but is not limited to) ongoing Stakeholders Management across all Company’s departments, maintenance of Steering Committee meetings, daily update of project logs and ongoing production and consolidation of status reports.  This cross-functional role will be accountable for ensuring that all Enterprise Wide project officers involved in the PMO structure are aware of and are adhering to the appropriate project methodologies effectively.


KEY Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of current technology landscape, trends and solutions - Relevant consulting experience with Big 4 is preferred
  • Industry experience of managing functions under Finance controllership, FP&A, Revenue mgmt., transactional finance, etc. especially within the professional services domain - Exposure to data management and analytics is must
  • Hands-on experience on any ERP suite like D365 , Oracle, SAP etc
  • Experience of Preparation of Consolidated Trial Balance & quality Financial Statements for the management and shareholder reporting
  • Experienced in Monthly, Quarterly and annual closures of Books of Accounts of the company
  • Responsible for the effective planning, execution, & coordination of the Organisation Wide projects and programmes;
  • Experience with process mapping tools like Microsoft Visio
  • Managing processes, procedures and methodologies on behalf of the Head of Finance and other supporting effective delivery of results;
  • Ensuring that all reported projects and programmes’ Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies are logged, daily updated, reviewed and escalated when (and if) applicable;
  • Understanding complex business dynamics and have a good sense on how and when to prioritize critical tasks effectively and proactively, with quality, on time;
  • Creating, maintaining and consolidating projects and programmes plans, inclusive of milestones, activities, timelines, task owners and gantt charts in a visually clear and exhaustive manner;
  • Ongoing monitoring of all projects and programmes’ status, consistently evaluating and reporting on performance criteria (scope, cost, schedule and quality);
  • Consolidating and delivering daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly status reports, summarizing complex project and programme information into concise and comprehensive highlights;
  • Creating high quality PowerPoint presentations and Word documentation, from summary status reports to process diagrams or procedures training material and other, as and when required;
  • Organizing, documenting and disseminating the outcome of key PMO Steering Committees and other project meetings;
  • Ensuring that all agreed mitigating activities and actions are conducted in a timely and quality manner, whilst also keeping the focus on the overarching set of existing deliverables;
  • Summarizing feasible options and recommending sensible solutions or mitigations to potential issues, risks or dependencies;
  • Maintaining and updating all Project documentation in line with the enterprise PMO standards and practice, ensuring that all Project information is easily accessible at all times;
  • Ensuring that all projects and programmes activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, enterprise Risk Management Framework and internal Policies;
  • Maintaining good work relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, across all levels of the Company, ensuring consistency of standards in status reporting enterprise wide;

Job Requirements

  • ​​​​​​​Professional Qualifications: ACCA or CA or CPA /qualifications.
  • Tertiary Education: Master’s in business administration or Finance / Commerce related studies desired
  • 8-10 Years’ experience in medium to large International Organization with Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably from the Financial Services, Technology or FinTech environments;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point - Strong team management skills
  • Experienced in Project and/or Programme Management from any industry; 
  • A Bachelor degree in any discipline from any reputable university, or anything equivalent to that; 
  • Excellent communication skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) in English and Myanmar;
  • Excellent use of the main MS Office Tools (predominantly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook);
  • Results-oriented with strong commitment to quality and the ability to work well under pressure;
  • Outgoing and able to develop effective business relationships with every member of the Business;
