Ascend International School is seeking 3 Assistant Teachers to provide effective academic and classroom support to students enrolled in the O-Level, A-Level, and OSSD Programs. The successful candidates will work closely with Subject Teachers, Lead Teachers, and the Academic Team to support students’ learning and day-to-day academic activities.
Job Description (JD) – Duties & Responsibilities

• Support Subject Teachers / Lead Teachers in the effective delivery of teaching and learning activities.
• Assist O-Level, A-Level, and OSSD students with academic learning and classroom activities as required.
• Support students with assignments, coursework, classwork, and learning activities under the guidance and direction of teachers.
• Monitor students’ academic progress and classroom participation, and communicate relevant observations or concerns to the appropriate teachers.
• Assist in preparing lesson materials, learning resources, and classroom materials.
• Support students in developing independent learning skills, study skills, and effective time management.
• Help maintain a well-organized, safe, and supportive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Assist students with their questions and academic support needs under the guidance of the relevant teacher.
• Provide support during examination preparation, mock examinations, assessments, and other academic activities as required.
• Understand and adhere to the requirements of the O-Level, A-Level, and OSSD Programs, as well as principles of academic integrity.
• Follow the school’s policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively and effectively with Teachers, the Academic Team, and School Management.
• Participate in and provide support for school events and other academic and co-curricular activities as required.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Principal in an efficient and professional manner.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline is required.
• A degree, diploma, or certificate in Education, Teaching, or a related field will be an advantage.
• Previous experience working in an International School or within an O-Level, A-Level, or OSSD curriculum environment will be preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with secondary/high school students.
• Ability to understand and appropriately support students’ academic needs and learning requirements.
• Must be responsible, organized, patient, supportive, and professional.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers and academic staff.
• Ability to maintain academic confidentiality and student privacy.
• A willingness to learn and develop knowledge of modern teaching approaches and international education practices.
• Basic proficiency in technology and digital learning tools will be an advantage.
