Job Purpose

Responsible for work in information technology (IT) or in finance, HR and different cross BU/FU dept to streamline technical operation needs. Research to develop effective information to update an action plan designed to make their business more effective and efficient. Conduct coordination of project related tasks, include project administration, user coordination, vendor coordination, data entry, schedule update and arrangement. Work within first- or second-line support. The work is as much about understanding how information systems are used as applying technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize, prioritize and may distribute work assignments; may mentor, train and provide input into evaluation of subordinate staff; may oversee IT operations in the absence of seniors.
• Analyse, design and develop operational procedures; review, analyse, and resolve operational problems.
• Analyse and recommend procedures consistent with departmental directives, policies and regulations.
• Interface with users, engineers, and other analysts for multi-department system projects and system related activities to meet the needs of the department.
• Analyse, research, and test changes in system software on multiple computers for compatibilities, performance, and capabilities in operational matters; and deploy new or enhanced system tools.
• Review plans for services; develop detailed specifications; research and evaluate technologies; consult on feasibility, costs and benefits of additions or enhancements; participate in the request for proposal process; oversee the maintenance inventories; plan for equipment needs; research, evaluate and test the products; prepare procedures documentation.
• Perform project management activities on operations projects.
• Assess user training needs; develop training programs and materials.
• Attend meetings; represent the unit on committees as necessary. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years plus experience in technology operation support in complex environment
• Experience in a human resource setting
• Experience supporting remote users
