Safety Compliance:

•  Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations, laws, and standards. • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.

Training and Awareness:

• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and educate staff on emergency response and equipment usage.

Incident Management:

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and other safety incidents, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Monitor the implementation of recommended safety measures to prevent recurrence.

Risk Management:

• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety controls.
• Review work processes and operational procedures to identify and address potential hazards.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs.
• Prepare periodic safety reports and communicate findings to senior management.

Emergency Preparedness:

• Assist in the development and execution of emergency response plans.
• Coordinate and conduct drills (e.g., fire, evacuation) to ensure readiness.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Liaise with regulatory authorities, external auditors, and safety consultants as required.
• Support cross-functional teams to implement and improve safety standards

• Any Graduate
• Certifications such as, Fire safety, OSHA, are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a safety officer/executive role, preferably in [industry, e.g., Ethanol distillation, Alcoholic Beverages manufacturing)
• Experience in incident investigation, safety audits, and risk assessments.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Skills and Competencies:

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of safety management systems like ISO 45001, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 is an advantage.

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to conduct training and prepare reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and influence safety practices.

Problem-Solving:

• Quick decision-making abilities during emergencies and crises.

Attention to Detail:

• Meticulous in identifying and addressing safety hazards.

Other Requirements:

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, etc. …) and safety management software/tools.
• Willingness to travel to site locations if required.
• Physically fit to inspect operational areas, including confined spaces or elevated locations.
