Responsible for managing the fixed asset function, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register
• Review and record asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers
• Ensure proper capitalization and classification of CAPEX vs. expenses
• Monitor Construction-in-Progress and ensure timely capitalization
• Calculate and post monthly depreciation and amortization
• Reconcile fixed asset register with the general ledger
• Prepare fixed asset schedules and reports for month-end and year-end closing
• Coordinate periodic physical verification of assets and resolve discrepancies
• Process asset disposals and calculate gain/loss on disposal
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP) and internal policies
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA / ACCA (or partly qualified) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including fixed assets
• Experience in manufacturing or asset-intensive industries preferred
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and depreciation methods
• Familiar with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
